To help you with your move toward better pelvic floor health and wellness, I have compiled a list of Pelvic Floor Health FAQs.
Our first appointment will revolve around the history of your current need for physical therapy; most commonly, we will collaborate and commit to a plan of care for the next several weeks.
Your Physical Therapy services can be delivered in person, by telehealth, or a by concierge-style service where I come to you.
As a consumer of your medical insurance, I highly recommend that you call your medical insurance to make sure Physical Therapy is covered and for how many visits.

How much does a visit cost?
I charge $180 per session for physical therapy. While I appreciate my full fee being paid, I also offer sliding scale pricing and won’t turn you away if you can’t afford to pay.
Who are the Relax Therapy Packages For?
The Relax Therapy Package is intended for people with no insurance, who have high co-pays, or who simply want to add more hassle-free Physical Therapy visits to their existing health plans due to restrictions on the number of visits allowed per year.
You should schedule your sessions as soon as possible. Continuity of personalized care is critical to your success.
Do you offer any discounts?
I offer cash discount for continued PT sessions.
How many visits will it take to feel better?
Although it is hard to predict exactly how long your healing will take, I prefer to see my patients every week for 6-8 visits.
We will discuss your plan of care at your evaluation.
What causes pain during sex?
Painful sex can be attributed to extraordinarily tight pelvic muscles, your cycle, the position of your uterus and/or your position for sex.
Does sex cause pain?
Having sex should not be painful; this should be an enjoyable activity for all parties involved. If you are experiencing pain with sex, this truly is a good time to check in with a Pelvic Floor PT.
Why am I having pain with sex after delivery?
There is a pelvic healing period after having a baby. This generally lasts 6-8 weeks depending on your recovery. Some women continue to have tenderness at the site of a scar; wether from an episiotomy or natural tearing during delivery. You may also experience decreased lubrication from the multitude of hormonal shifts happening. This is a great time to check in with a Pelvic Floor PT.
What equipment will I need for Pelvic Floor Therapy?
Mostly you need to show up, every day! Your dedication to self-care and nourishment will individualize your unfolding pelvic health!
It is also nice to have: a yoga mat, 9” FitBall, various exercise bands,
You might also want to have: good lubrication (love organic, CBD For), self-treatment pelvic want, dilators (silicone), and a good app for biofeedback (permit, elvie)
Can Fibroids cause painful sex?
Yes, depending on the location and size of your fibroid. This is truly a good time to check in with a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist.
Is Pelvic Floor Therapy covered by medical insurance?
Most medical insurance companies will cover Pelvic Floor Therapy. We recommend that you call your insurance company to confirm your coverage (see paperwork section). We have a form for you to follow when you make this call. We believe that you should be an informed consumer of your medical insurance.

How many sessions for Pelvic Floor Therapy?
Typically you can expect 6-8 Physical Therapy sessions with an evaluation, treatment and exercises individualized for your specific needs.
Is Pelvic Floor Therapy painful?
Pelvic Floor Therapy should not be painful. Each person will have an individual response to their symptoms because they are having a unique experience. We keep you Physical Therapy session at a pace that is comfortable for your individual needs; so you will be most relaxed and less likely to experience pain.
